Adeje Town Hall seeks to promote family coexistence with the Lazos Project and specifically with a campaign for 5th and 6th class primary students

15 may 2024
As part of the commemoration of the International Day of Families, the Adeje Town Hall’s department of community welfare, under councillor Raquel Rodríguez Alonso, visited the public schools in the municipality, with the aim of actively involving fifth and sixth class students in the initiative  "Con mi voz, con mis derechos" (‘With my voice, with my rights’), which aims to promote the participation and empowerment of children, listening to their suggestions and opinions on issues of interest to them.

The programme, supported by the family and children’s section of the department, will work to promote youth participation, respect for children’s rights, and encourage young people to express their opinions and actively contribute to the development of Adeje. The proposals generated in these meetings will be evaluated and considered in future municipal actions and programmes.

Councillor Raquel Rodríguez Alonso visited primary schools in Los Olivos, Las Torres, and Armeñime, where she was delighted with the exchange of ideas and experiences shared with her by the students.

As part of International Day of Families one of the activities taking place under the ‘Lazos’ Programme will be a Family Gymkhana, on Friday 17 May at the Tierra Lavada sports centre (Los Olivos), from 5pm to 8pm. The event aims to celebrate the importance of family ties and encourage fun and family time together between parents and children.
