As part of the programme of events marking International Women's Day on March 8th, Adeje Town Hall, together with the Adeje Equality Council, invited the 6th class students of Adeje Casco primary school, to join them for gender-relevant activities and games.

Along with the games, a manifesto was read in conjunction with the pupils and the council members. The event was also attended by students from the Don Bosco Foundation, representatives of different social agencies, as well as municipal staff, and presided over by councillors Esther Rivero Vargas and José Antonio Lópe Delgado, responsible for the department of health, equality and diversity.

Under the slogan "Let's do it together", the council is inviting everyone to insist on valuing the importance of women in all aspects of daily life, and value the importance of the collaboration of women and men to achieve significant progress towards real equality.

Events linked to International Women's Day will continue during the month of March, with the awarding of Adeje’s Abinque prize tomorrow, Saturday March 9th, this year going to women who work in local and national security forces and corps.
