Adeje council and the University of La Laguna, the ULL, have signed an agreement to extend the co-operation between the two bodies, with Adeje offering increased facilities in the borough for more degree and post-graduate courses.  The agreement consolidates the existence of a proper university campus in the borough, with the town’s cultural centre and adjacent buildings in constant use by ULL students based in the south.

The university rector, Rosa Aguilar Chinea, said, “On behalf of the ULL we are continuing to look ahead, to see what the needs and the potential of the tourism sector are, and propose initiatives that advance the sector, advance learning and training, fundamental tools for development”.

The Adeje mayor, Jose Miguel Rodriguez Fraga underlined how “this agreement sees us extending our links to the ULL, with whom we have been working for over two decades now, and we will continue on that path of quality education and training, with Adeje always willing to invest in improving those elements that are vital for education”.
