Children will learn about respect for animals, the environment, and healthy eating, through practical experiences

El Duendecillo Azul Adeje creche, part of the responsibilities of councillor Coraima Afonso Navarro, has launched a new educational project, 'The Farm', an initiative aimed at enhancing hands-on learning in early childhood. Through this programme, children will take part in activities designed to foster empathy, teamwork, and responsibility while gaining essential knowledge about nature and rural life.
“This project aims to provide a comprehensive educational experience that combines cognitive, emotional, and social development,” explained Afonso Navarro. During the first term, activities will focus on strengthening respect for animals and the environment, as well as introducing basic concepts of agriculture and healthy eating. In this way, learning becomes an enriching and practical experience, where children interact directly with their surroundings.
The Elves, Gnomes, and Bouncers classes (the names given to each group within the nursery school) are at the heart of this initiative, developing skills that help them understand the importance of caring for living beings and the impact of their actions on the world around them.
Adeje Town Hall remains committed to education in values and to promoting a childhood that is more aware of and connected to nature.
