Adeje Council´s department of social welfare is working on the development of an integrated family care programme, “Lazos" (Links).  The aim of the programme is strengthening and supporting families in the community, and promoting positive parenting.

According to the councillor from the area, Raquel Rodríguez Alonso, "The project is called Lazos because it is designed to serve as a meeting point for families to share experiences, concerns, matters of interest... with the aim of creating meeting points where families can, together, address the different challenges they face, support each other, and no longer feel they are alone in the face of these challenges".

The first part of the programme is a series of activities and services designed to meet the primary needs of families affected. The planned actions include family guidance workshops, and creating meeting and learning spaces for families where relevant topics such as effective communication, conflict resolution, and emotional management will be addressed. In addition, specialised support will be offered to families with members with disabilities, providing resources and services adapted to their specific needs.

The programme begins on 20th April, with a meeting of families at the Centre for Attention to Diversity Los Olivos, from 10 am to 2pm, with children's activities, workshops, workshops, bouncy castles, etc.  There will also be a talk at the EMMA, by Iosune Gara Txasco Carpio, a social worker from the Canarian Health Service.

"Lazos" is a project designed with a focus on interdisciplinary collaboration and comprehensive care. This programme seeks to provide comprehensive support to families, promoting their well-being and development in all aspects of their lives.
