This year’s Abinque award recognises the work of women in the national and local security forces

The award is given annually to a women or women who have contributed to the cause of equality in the municipality

 Adeje council’s department of equality under councillor José Antonio López Delgado, is awarding the 2024 Abinque prize to women in the national and local security forces (Local Police, National Police, Canary Police and Civil Guard). This annual award recognises the work and dedication in the fight for equal opportunities between men and women in the municipality.
 
As is customary, a Gala event will be held to mark the presentation of the award,  part of the calendar of actions that are happening to mark  International Women's Day. The award will be presented this Saturday, March 9, at the Centro de Desarrollo Turístico de Costa Adeje (CDTCA), at 7pm.  For more information visit www.adeje.es, or consult the calendar of activities related to International Women's Day.
