"At this time of year, when we see peace under threat, and as we are facing important challenges, let us remember that Christmas symbolises hope, togetherness, and friendship. Under the slogan ‘Peace for Christmas’ I invite you all to come together under a shared wish for a better world.
More than the difficulties that face us, the season of Christmas gives us the chance to reflect on what really matters: unity, solidarity, a collective yearning for a future where peace reigns. I hope that this Christmas will be a time when we show our capacity to overcome divisions and work together for a more harmonious world.
I wish each and every one of you the best of times, days filled with love and happiness. I also hope that the promise of a better world, and peace, will extend beyond Christmas into the year ahead".
