This Sunday the town of Adeje kept its annual promise to the Virgin de la Encarnación, bringing her statue back to San Sebastian, over the old path, a pilgrimage that lasted about 4 hours,
During the journey, with hundreds taking part, there were stops and prayers, in the town cemetery, at the portal to the old path, ‘la Era’ and ‘el Humilladero’, where the statue of San Sebastián was brought from the chapel to ‘meet’ the Virgin de la Encarnación.
Following the journey, there was mass in the San Sebastián church and afterwards the pilgrims were able to have lunch
together in the plaza.
