Adeje’s gastronomy month ends with a well-attended food fair

Following a month of workshops, show-cooking and many more activities, Adeje council also announced the winners of the tapa route

Raquel Rodríguez Alonso, economic development and employment councillor has expressed her satisfaction with the excellent participation during the month-long gastronomy events in the borough. “We have encouraged business in the sector, underlined the importance of our restaurants and the quality of our gastronomy for yet another year”, she commented.
 
During the month of November there were 22 different activities all over the borough, including the farmers market, restaurants and the CDTCA.
 
The annual tapa route was held from 11th – 20th November with 19 establishments taking part, and the public voting for the best tapas in Adeje. 
 
And the winners were: 
First place/ Tapa de Oro: Casa Juan II, with their tapa La pata del Guanche, 
Second place /Tapa de plata: La Fonda Central with their tapa Brioche de carrillera ibérica con mayonesa de mojo rojo.
Third place/Tapa de bronce: Buddha Sano with their tapa Niebla en Adeje.
Special prize for the most professional tapa: Casa Juan II.
 
The month of events closed with a special food fair on the Calle Grande and Plaza de España with food stalls, local wines and craft beers on offer. There was also music by Son d’ Chasna, La Chalana, Grupo Lo Divino, Grupo Chabor and Ritmo Batukeiro.
