Adeje council’s department of economic development and job creation, under Raquel Rodríguez Alonso, and in partnership with the Santa Cruz Chamber of Commerce, have organised the I Entrepreneurship Fair, taking place on Tuesday October 25th in the CTDCA (Costa Adeje Centre for Tourism Development).
This will be a first meeting bringing together businesses, individual entrepreneurs, students and other members of the public interested in the theme. The day begins at 10am and will run until 5pm with a series of events.
Councillor Rodríguez Alonso said, “For this first fair we are valuing entrepreneurship and those who are working to open their own businesses and generate new wealth, new market niches and new jobs”.
The councillor also stressed that Adeje, in the constant search for new opportunities, continues to actively support these kinds of activities and partnerships because they are beneficial to entrepreneurship and the extension of the business network in the borough
The fair will work to spread the spirit of entrepreneurship through participation and working with different groups, organisations and professionals. It will also aim to help those interested discover the aspects of business development that is most relevant for them as well as encouraging self-employment as a professional avenue.
The director of the Santa Cruz Chamber of Commerce, Lola Pérez, said this kind of initiative was extremely positive, and that she believes “it is important to get out and find out what kind of help the chamber needs to be offering to businesses and individuals, not just in terms of assessment but also offering the necessary tools to see their business projects succeed”.
This kind of help which the chamber had been offering for 26 years, included, she said, “a catalogue of services for entrepreneurs”, helping with viability plans, training options, help in start-ups, etc.
During the day there will be different stands, talks, workshops, guest speakers and round table discussions. Participants will also be discussing innovation and digitization.
