Adeje council have entered into an agreement with Médicos del Mundo (Doctors of the World) to work together in improving employment opportunities for the more vulnerable members of Adeje’s residents.  Manuel Luis Méndez Martín, councillor for local development and job creation and Felisa Suárez of Médicos del Mundo signed the agreement together this week.  The Adeje councillor stated that these kinds of covenants were very important and reiterated that the organisation would have “full use of the facilities available in the CDTCA, and the department of economic development and job creation in developing communal projects.”

As a result of the agreement Adeje will be involved in the candidate selection process, using the Adeje Global data base. The council will also offer use of the building for interviews, etc.
Médicos del Mundo will let the council know the employment vacancies they are looking to fill, and the profiles of the candidates they are interested in employing, co-ordinating too with those working with vulnerable individuals in communal projects.

The agreement will last for one year with an option for a year’s extension.
