Adeje is organising an environmental gymkhana

The event is taking place on March 19th, celebrating International Day of the Forest

Adeje council, as part of the TREEMAC project, which is a co-operative programme under the INTERREG MAC 2014 – 2020 plan, and with 85% funding from the European regional developmental funds, (FEDER), is organising an environmental gymkhana to mark International Day of the Forests. 
 
The event in Adeje takes place on March 19th at 7pm and will be see participants taking a circular route with the Plaza Tierra Lavada in Los Olivos as the starting and finishing point.
 
Councillor for ecological transition, Manuel Luis Méndez Martín, said “following the success of last year’s event we are delighted to offer something similar, helping people value our natural spaces and green zones in the borough, and understanding the need to protect and preserve them”.
 
The main aim of the event is to raise awareness about the importance of our woods and natural zones and parks.  People can discover the biodiversity of the borough through games and activities. 
 
Participation can be individual, in groups, families, or with friends, and will be conducted under current Covid restrictions and regulations.
