This week Zebenzui Chinea, Cabildo councillor for municipal co-operation and housing, was in Adeje to visit the Tamaide housing complex accompanied by Adeje mayor José Miguel Rodríguez Fraga and other members of the corporation.  The complex, housing 120 families, is a social housing zone and is to undergo reforms to the tune of €1,186,4322.

The work will be funded under the ARRU programme (urban and rural regeneration and reformation programme), which sees the participation of the department for development, the regional government, the Cabildo and councils.  For this particular project the state will finance over 40% of the work, the regional government 30%, the Cabildo 16% and Adeje council 13%.

During the visit Zebenzui Chinea underlined the importance of the work on the different blocks in the complex "to guarantee proper living conditions and effecient energy use in the buildings", and said the backing was proof of the Cabildo's commitment to public housing in the island, "even more so given the situation we find ourselves in due to the pandemic".

The Adeje mayor said that although there was still rooom for improvement in the current situation, " this project is very important as it is about improving the quality of life of 120 famlies".  He applauded the fact that all levels of administration were working together for the benefit of the public.
