As we mentioned a few weeks the new Adeje Recovery programme helps both people who have been out of work and residents in parts of the borough who are considered vulnerable and need help in upgrading their homes.  The programme is now underway.

Run by the Adeje council and the Cruz Roja this is a six-month project with the aim being to upgrade homes and prepare a group of workers for the job market, workers who may be at risk of social and labour exclusion, according to councillors Manuel Luis Méndez Martín and Raquel Rodríguez Alonso.

Among the work being carried out is the introduction of energy saving kits into a number of homes to help residents save on electricity bills in the future
