The programme is for those interested in building an innovative and/or digital business

8 november 2021
The SMART-ECO programme designed to assist i-Entrepreneurs will benefit 24 people who will be able to take advantage of this opportunity to build an innovative business perhaps in the digital field. Once the course is completed the 10 top innovative ideas will be selected and their creators offered six months of professional assessment and coaching.  Their proposals will also be presented at a future technology business conference.

Councillor Manuel Luis Mendez Martín commented, “Training of any kind is important, as it allows us to learn, improve, and understand the evolution of the labour market”.  The councillor underlined, “we are backing this specific course because it is an important part of the business sector, almost 85% of which is made up of small and medium enterprises or self-employed professionals.  Here in the council we see that this kind of development is an interesting niche in the market that people can take advantage of.”

The course will use the methodology promoted by the International Labour Organisation, the ILO, which is part of the United Nations. Participants will learn about the role of the professional, methods and motivation, work practises, etc.

Marketing strategies will be examined for each of the business ideas under discussion, using the 5 ‘Ps’ of marketing – Product, Price, Promotion, Place, People. Legal conditions of running a business, finance and overheads, income and cost planning will also be part of the course.

The training will take fun from November 8th to 12th in the CDTCA, and on November 15th and 16th on-line.
