Through a newly available App, V12Gen anyone in danger or suffering from domestic violence can access a support team directly, staffed by personnel from the Adeje Equality department.  “The team, made up of a lawyer, a social worker, a psychologist and a member of the local police force trained in dealing with family issues, will be there to help anyone, in confidence, who need information or assistance”, outlined equality councillor Desiderio Afonso Ruiz, adding that Adeje was the first Canarian borough to be able to offer this kind of tool to the public.  “This is an assistance channel that allows Adeje deal directly with this problem”, he added.

V12Gen offers users a private and safe information channel which can be used at any time, leaves no trace on the user’s phone and no need to install the app on their device. The user also does not have to register on a platform, anonymity is offered and guaranteed.

“The teams will be working across departments which will help improve the detection and prevention of this kind of violence, and give particular attention to younger people in danger of being exposed to violence”, says Mercedes Vargas Delgado, councillor for community welfare and security.
