Families can apply from today for subsidies

The Adeje council’s department of education, under Councillor Maria Clavijo Maza, has announced that they have brought forward the application for grants for school materials for the next academic year, 2021/2022.
People can apply from today, May 24th, until June 24th, for the grants and subsidies. The department’s aim is to make it easier for families to get school materials for the coming term in advance.

“With this imitative we are working to help the student body in the borough by getting them the grants in advance of the start of the next academic year, something particularly important in this time of Covid-19 which has completely changed out reality”, said the councillor. She added that the department were working hard to help to as many people as possible to allow them purchase the materials their children need before September.
The council has earmarked €100,000 for the scheme – about €90 per person, for students in infants, primary, secondary and Bachillerato and vocational studies who are registered as resident in Adeje.
