Businesses can apply from now until March 15th

Up to 40 Adeje based businesses can take advantage of an offer of free specialised training in innovation technology through the European SMART-ECO project. These businesses will receive expert assessments to assist in moving their companies forward, all offered free of charge. SMART-ECO is a part of the INTERREG MAC 2014 2020 programme, 85% of which is funded by the EU.
The Adeje councillor for economic development, Raquel Rodriguez Alonso, says that “given the current situation generated by the Covid-19 crisis, this initiative is an opportunity to encourage some companies who have already perhaps seen a need to modernise and work to reach new clients and markets.” She has made a call for local companies to take full advantage of this free resource as something that may be able to help them to move forward.
The opportunities are in assessment and training. It will help businesses interested in digital transformation and working to initiate or intensify the use of new technology in their company. Selected companies will be offered a diagnostic of how they are currently operating their technology and suggested innovations, designed to fit each model. Each business in the programme will be assisted and followed throughout the process to optimise the digital transformation.
The programme will also help those companies that already have been part of the digital age to optimise their services, push their electronic commercial side and maybe work on an international digital profile. This section will be designed for companies interested in e-commerce, working on developing the commercial channels, digital marketing techniques and training with personnel from the selected firms.
Interested businesses have until March 15th to apply online, and successful candidates will undergo individual assessment to see where best improvements and changes may be suggested in each specific case.
