The Adeje council has informed residents that given the state of emergency put in place to combat the Covid-19 virus in Spain, due to the possibility of a grave public sanitation risk, the 2020 local tax payment schedule has been altered. The decree, signed by Mayor José Miguel Rodríguez Fraga, sees both payment periods significantly extended.
The first payment for taxes and payments for rubbish, road tax and local rates (IBI) is now due anytime from May 18th 2020 to December 18th 2020.
The second payment period is from September 1st 2020 to December 18th 2020 and, during this period, taxes on local business activities (IAE), the second rubbish collection payment and the payment for ‘vados’ (no-parking spots on public roads) should be paid.
