Brigitte and Reinhold Bernhard are a retired German couple living in Callao Salvaje.
Like many they hadn't gotten around to completing their registration on the public health data base when the pandemic hit - so when the vaccine programme opened to include those who were not yet registered they went up to the Armeñime public health clinic. They found the staff there so helpful and patient, taking the time to help them both register and get their vaccination appointments almost immediately that they wanted to say 'thank you'. So Brigitte baked one of her mouth-watering cheese cakes and yesterday they dropped the cake in to the health centre for all the staff.
