Christmas Workshops in Adeje

From macramé and crochet to decoration and styling, Adeje's Department of Culture offers a special programme of creative and artistic activities to celebrate the festive season

 The Adeje Department of Culture, under councillor Adolfo Alonso Ferrera, has organised a special programme of Christmas workshops, running from December 9th to 20th. The aim is to promote creativity and the festive spirit, keeping the various cultural centres in Adeje busy.  All courses will be in Spanish.
 
From traditional craft techniques to decorative projects, the workshops provide practical tools to enjoy the season while developing artistic and manual skills. "These workshops not only offer the chance to learn decorative and design techniques but also to share special moments with neighbours," explained Alonso Ferrera.  
 
Christmas Workshop Programme    
From crafting unique ornaments to developing practical skills, this programme aims to enrich the festive experience for participants.  
 
Christmas in Macramé    
 On 9 and 16 December, 10am to 12 noon, the Las Nieves Cultural Centre will host a special workshop on creating Christmas decorations using macramé. Participants will learn to create unique decorations such as trees and stars which they can hang in their homes.  
 
Decorating pine cones and candles with Decoupage    
 Also at the Las Nieves Cultural Centre, on 9 and 16 December from 12 noon to 2pm, you can create personalised decorations using pine cones,  and decorate candles using the decoupage technique.  
 
Design your Christmas clothes!    
From 9, 11, 16, and 18 December, the Miraverde and Fañabé Cultural Centres will offer a course on designing and crafting festive outfits. Sessions from 5pm to 7pm include tips for Christmas and New Year's attire, and tutorials on making or upcycling costumes for children.  
 
Christmas textile accessories    
At the Tijoco and Armeñime Cultural Centres, on 10 and 12 December, from 4pm to 8pm you can create and customise garments, mend clothes, and apply techniques to reuse materials, promoting sustainability.  
 
Leather decorations    
On 10 and 17 December, the Granero de Tijoco will host a workshop on crafting leather Christmas ornaments. From 5.30pm to 7.30pm you can learn traditional skills to design unique decorative pieces.  
 
Crafting a Christmas Fairy and Santa Claus    
From 11 to 18 December, the Fañabé Cultural Centre will offer a workshop from 1 noon to 2pm, teaching attendees to make Christmas ornaments.
 
Kids’ Christmas decorations    
For children, the La Postura Cultural Centre will run a workshop from 11 to 18 December, 4pm to 6pm, where kids can unleash their creativity with colourful and original decorations.  
 
Silver Christmas and toast to the New Year    
From 12 to 19 December, the Fañabé Cultural Centre will host a workshop from 4pm to 6pm, focused on creating elegant Christmas decorations and celebratory touches for New Year.  
 
Decorative candles and ornaments    
In Fañabé, from 12 to 19 December, a workshop from 6pm to 8pm will teach you how to design candles and decorative baubles using techniques like marbling.  
 
Macramé stars and tree ornaments    
From 13 to 20 December, 4pm to 6pm, at the Fañabé Cultural Centre, there is workshop on creating tree ornaments and stars using macramé.  
 
Star on top and Christmas with Kinusaiga    
From 13 to 20 December, 6pm to 8pm, in the Fañabe Cultural Centre, participants can craft macramé stars and explore Kinusaiga techniques for innovative ornaments.  
 
Crochet Decorations    
From 17 to 19 December, at the Fañabé Cultural Centre, a crochet workshop from 5pm to 7pm will teach participants to embroider festive designs, use different crochet types, and create intricate, unique decorations.
