Adeje Town Hall has unveiled its Christmas programme under the theme ‘Christmas from the Heart’. According to the mayor of Adeje, José Miguel Rodríguez Fraga, “the programme is designed to reflect the warmth and solidarity that define our town.” December will be packed with cultural events, concerts, theatre, children’s activities, and letter collections across all the neighbourhoods of Adeje. The mayor has a special message for everyone in Adeje. “This 'Christmas from the Heart' celebrates the best of our community - the warmth of our people, our solidarity, and the spirit that unites us. We wish everyone a festive season filled with peace, joy, and hope for all families, always remembering the importance of being together and supporting one another.”
The programme officially begins on 29 November with the blessing of the Senior Citizens’ Nativity Scene and the Christmas lights switch-on at 8pm in the Plaza de España.
Highlights of the Programme
Traditional Christmas Concert
On 20 December, the Plaza de España will host the traditional Christmas Concert featuring the Adeje patronal bank, local folk groups, and the Adeje School of Music, Dance, and Performing Arts.
Christmas Market
From 3 to 20 December, the San Juan Association will run its traditional Christmas Market, open on weekday afternoons and weekend mornings. This is an opportunity to find unique gifts while supporting a good cause.
Christmas at the Auditorium
The Adeje Auditorium will become a cultural hub during the festive season, offering a wide range of events for all audiences: All shows will be in Spanish.
14 December, 8:30 pm: Christmas Concert by Los Sabandeños.
21 December, 8:00 pm: Powerhouse Gospel Choir Concert.
23 December, 6:00 pm: Family show 'Pulgarcita'.
27 December, 9:00 pm: Solidarity Concert by Parranda Chasnera, with proceeds going to support those affected by the recent floods in Valencia.
3 January, 6:00 pm: 'La Sirenita'.
30 December, 6:00 pm: Children's musical 'Ratoncito Pérez y el Hada de l os Dientes'.

Christmas in every corner of Adeje
Once again, Adeje’s Christmas Children's Park (PINA) will open at the El Galeón Sports Pavilion from 26 December to 4 January, with morning and afternoon sessions.
On 22 December, the Calle Grande will host a Christmas concert by the group El Cardón, and the music continues with the show Farewell 2024, a Prince tribute, at Salityen in Costa Adeje on 30 December.
Traditional Cantos de los Divinos
Throughout the festive season, the traditional Cantos de los Divinos will be performed across Adeje’s neighbourhoods. Local groups, including the Adeje Folklore School Group, Parranda Boleros de Armeñime, Parranda El Mesturao, Parranda de Tijoco Bajo, Folklore Group La Diata, and the Historic Villa of Adeje’s Patronato Musical Band, will participate.
The La Viña Hermitage will host two special events as part of the Christmas celebrations.
On Sunday, 15 December, at 7pm, there will be a mass in Los Olivos church followed by the procession returning La Virgen de la Esperanza to the La Viña Hermitage.
Later, on Wednesday there will be mass at 7pm a blessing of the La Viña Nativity Scene and the presentation of the hermitage's restoration works.
In Callao Salvaje on December 27th at 7pm there will be a Christmas concert in the Plaza Mirador de la Gomera with Sally Li and Ainhoa Aguila.
The Convent of San Francisco will also host a number of events, with Altahay in concert on December 17th at 8pm and the Adassa Flute Quartet in concert on December 23rd, also at 8pm. Both events are free, with entry on a first-come, first-served basis.
New Year’s Eve and Three Kings Parade
Adeje will ring in the New Year with a grand New Year’s Eve party in the Plaza de España from 11:30 pm on December 31st to 6am on January 1st. Performers include Toke Latino, Sensación Gomera, DJ David Pérez, and the Maquinaria Band.
The festive season comes to an end with the traditional Three Kings Parade on 5 January. Their Majesties will arrive by helicopter to the Municipal Football Stadium before greeting children and beginning the parade along the Calle Grande at 7 pm.
