Adeje Town Hall’s department of economic development, under councillor Alberto Álvarez Jiménez, in collaboration with the Association of Business Owners, Traders, and Professionals of Adeje (AECPA), is launching a Restaurant Voucher Campaign, designed to strengthen the local economy by promoting the hospitality sector.
With a planned economic injection of €50,000, the initiative aims to build customer loyalty, encourage spending, and provide direct support to small and medium-sized enterprises in the municipality. “Adeje Town Hall will underwrite 50% of the total cost of the campaign, representing a clear commitment to local economic recovery after the challenges faced in recent years. This investment combined with customer contributions will generate a significant increase in sales and improve the visibility of local businesses,” explained the councillor.
The vouchers will be available from 28th October, offering a 50% discount on spending. Each voucher is worth €20, but customers will only pay €10, so they save money while contributing to the local economy.
Each person can purchase up to 8 vouchers, amounting to a maximum saving of €80 per person and a potential injection of up to €160 in participating establishments.
The campaign, which will run from the 1st to 30th November or until the vouchers run out, aims not only to encourage immediate consumption, but also to generate sustained reactivation of the hospitality sector. It is estimated that the maximum €2,000 balance per establishment will enable businesses to double their sales.
“Stimulating actions like the restaurant vouchers not only help businesses in the short term but also foster a lasting relationship with customers, who see these establishments as attractive and accessible options for consumption. With this campaign, we hope to generate a 30% increase in sales in the sector during November, helping to consolidate the economic recovery of our commercial hospitality sector,” argued councillor Alberto Álvarez Jiménez.
This initiative reinforces the importance of supporting local commerce, which remains a fundamental pillar of Adeje's economic strategy. According to the president of the AECPA, Jordi Esplugas, “campaigns like this not only benefit the directly involved hospitality businesses but also have a multiplying effect, improving consumer perceptions of local products and services.”
Interested businesses can register from 16th September until 30th November, while consumers will access the vouchers through the platform
