Events will take place from 11th to 15th September.
Fañabé is getting ready to host its annual fiesta in honour Nuestra Señora del Campo and San Juan de Dios. The programme includes a variety of cultural, recreational, and religious events. Celebrations will begin on Wednesday, 11th September, and will continue until Sunday, 15th September, with activities for all ages.
The festivities are a wonderful opportunity to enjoy tradition, faith, and community spirit.
Programme of Events
Wednesday, 11th September
9pm: A football match in tribute to Samuel Delgado Ramos. The match will see Fañabé Football Club vs. Atlético Granadilla. Following the match, the official start of the festivities will be announced, and trophies will be awarded.
Thursday, 12th September: Day of the Virgin
12 noon: Ringing of bells in honour of Nuestra Señora del Campo
7.30pm: Mass and offering at the church, accompanied by the Adeje Folklore group.
9pm: Fañafest: Presentation of the Romeras Silveria Delgado Alfonso and Alexandra Ardouz Jordán, followed by a gala featuring performances by local residents, a fashion show, and a performance by from the Dile que Sí dance academy.
Friday, 13th September
7pm: Fañavisión: Children's gala hosted by Olga González, featuring performances by the local children.
9.45pm: DJ David Pérez performs at the "Youth Moment."
11pm: Street party with music from Nueva Línea and Toke Latino.
Saturday, 14th September
10am: Domino tournament at the Youth Kiosk, followed by the awarding of trophies.
10am: Children's parade with Disney characters, starting from the church and ending at the square, where children can enjoy a party with bouncy castles and a foam party.
12 noon: Veterans’ football tournament between Fañabé and Igara de Cabo Blanco, followed by the awarding of trophies.
7.30pm: Mass-Eucharist, accompanied by the Adeje Folklore group, followed by a procession of the statues of Nuestra Señora del Campo and San Juan de Dios through the neighbourhood, with the participation of A.F. Chácaras y Tambores "Garajonay. During the procession, Jonathan Vera will perform Ave Maria at the roundabout, followed by a fireworks display.
9.45pm: DJ David Pérez performs at the "Youth Moment."
11pm: Street party with music from Sensación Gomera and Wamampy.
Sunday, 15th September
12:30pm: Romería (pilgrimage) through the neighbourhood, accompanied by Canarian music and refreshments for the attendees. The procession, or Romería, will end at the square, where a meal will be offered to all participants.
2pm: Lunchtime event, paella by Fermín Mesa, music from Toke Latino and Fernandito Martín "El Ferna."
End of festivities: Special performance by Pepe Benavente.
Special Invitation: All participants are invited to join the Romería on Sunday in traditional dress or a white shirt and sash.
