On June 13 the Adeje Auditorium will host the renowned TEDx talks under the banner heading, ‘The Symphony of Tomorrow’, bringing together leading professionals in different fields. Tickets are now available online at www.tedxadeje.com. The presentations will be in Spanish.
For this, the first TEDx Adeje event, the presentations will deal with artificial intelligence, the digital revolution, music, sleep, the seabed, and the importance of effective communication and voice management.
Among the speakers will be Antonia Varela, Doctor in astrophysics and researcher at the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias, director of the Museum of Science and the Cosmos of Tenerife, managing director of the Starlight Foundation and president of the Association of Businesswomen BPW Canarias. She has received several awards including the Gold Medal of the Canary Islands 2024.
Daniel Broncano is the managing director of the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra, a clarinettist who trained in prestigious institutions in Madrid and London, and will be another of the protagonists of the day. Broncano has conducted several festivals and orchestras.
Raquel Marín is a professor of physiology and a neuroscientist specialising in brain diseases and neuro-feedback. Marín is a well-known science communicator in the regional and national media in the written press, radio and television. She is also the author of three books on how to feed and care for the brain, and on the importance of sleep.
Sergio Bambaren Roggero is an author with a passion for the ocean with a degree in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University. His love for the sea inspired his worldwide bestselling books (27) and he advocates for the conservation of the oceans.
Thaïs Henríquez Torres is a double Olympic Medallist with Spanish Synchronised Swimming Team in Beijing 2008 and London 2012. She holds a number of degrees, in law, in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences and masters degrees in access to the Legal Profession and a Master's Degree in Tax Management and Consultancy.
The leader of the TEDx Adeje project, Anna Bugrina, commented “we want to showcase local talent, the wisdom that exists in our community. The people chosen to give the TEDx talks follow a rigorous selection process by the organisation. From today, registrations are open to collaborate with TEDx”.

Events under the TEDx label are planned and coordinated independently, community by community. For the TEDxAdeje event, the Town Hall will provide promotion and dissemination through its corporate communication channels and social networks before and after the event as well as links to social networks and the TEDxTalks channel. Adeje Town Council also grants the use of the Adeje Auditorium, rehearsal space for speakers, sound and lighting, staging and media coverage before and after the event.

Origin of the talks
TEDx is a grassroots initiative, created in the spirit of TED's overall mission, which is to investigate and discover ‘ideas worth spreading’. TEDx brings the spirit of TED to local communities around the world through TE events.
These events are organised by individuals seeking to discover new ideas and share the latest research in their local areas, ideas that spark conversation and debate in their communities. There are currently more than 3,000 TEDx events a year.
