The Canary Islands Command programme of events in Adeje to celebrate Armed Forces Day 2024 in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife has been published.
The activities will take place in Adeje on 17 and 18 May in Santa Cruz:
FRIDAY 17TH MAY - ADEJE
Solemn Flag Raising Ceremony in the Plaza de España in the Historic Town of Adeje at 10:55 am. It will be presided over by the Chief Colonel of the Field Artillery Regiment No. 93, José Luis Heredero Guaza.
Exhibition of weapons and equipment in the car park next to the Plaza de España from 11:00 to 17:00 hours.
Concert in the Plaza de España att 8pm, free, with Canary Islands Command Music Unit together with the No. 2 Military Band of the Canary Islands Brigade XVI. Also taking part are students from the Professional Music Conservatory of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the Adeje Folklore School and the soloist Paula Gómez. Baton, Lieutenant Manuel Castrejón Navarro, director of the Music of the Canary Islands Command.
Act of Homage to those who gave their lives for Spain and Solemn Flag Raising Ceremony. It will be presided over by the Chief of the Canary Islands Command, Lieutenant General Julio Salom Herrera.
