Last Thursday, April 11th, Adeje council, GEHOCAN and Siam Mall worked together to mount another successful Job Dating Employment Fair, the fifth such event. Today the annual job fair has become a benchmark meeting place for people in the management sector in the Canary Islands.
The event was opened by Mercedes Vargas Delgado, Adeje Councilor for Employment Promotion and Economic Activity, Óscar Ledesma, Head of HR Catalonia Hotels & Resorts; and Hugo Gil, Manager of Siam Mall.
The councillor said that the event presents "a unique scenario for companies to get to know the talent that is there, and for job seekers to look for a better working future". She also took the opportunity to thank the team of workers at the Adeje employment service and congratulate them given the “very positive employment figures". Councillor Vargas Delgado also encouraged those attending the fair to use the time to meet the companies present and "take advantage of the opportunity to grow professionally".
Óscar Ledesma, thanked Adeje council for "supporting this event since its inception" and encouraged those attending to get to know the companies present. For his part, Hugo Gil, said that "this type of initiative brings companies and people together in a very productive day for both".
During the event, fifty companies from sectors including hospitality, commerce and services were present: Leroy Merlin, Lidl, Heineken, Inditex, Dinosol, Multiópticas, Barceló, GF Hoteles, Melía, H10, Dreamplace and Hoteles Piñero, among others.
In addition, visitors to the fair were able to receive image advice from the Nuevo Stylo Sur training centre, as well as have a professional photo taken at the stand set up specifically for this purpose.
