Adeje hosted the second Entrepreneurship Fair

The aim was to raise awareness of the resources available to entrepreneurs

23 november 2023
The 2nd Adeje Entrepreneurship Fair was held in the CDTCA, Adeje,  with the aim of bringing the resources and tools of what might be termed the ‘entrepreneurial ecosystem’ closer to people interested in starting up their own business, and promoting entrepreneurship.

The meeting was organised by Adeje Council’s department of economic activity and employment, under councillor Mercedes Vargas Delgado, and the Business Creation Service of the Santa Cruz Chamber of Commerce.

Councillor Vargas Delgado and Chamber of Commerce DG Lola Pérez opened the meeting Lola Pérez, and stressed the importance of this type of meeting to make different resources available to entrepreneurs  to enable them to develop their businesses, with the support and monitoring of the different organisations and entities.

Lola Pérez stressed the importance of using analytical tools to determine the viability of entrepreneurial initiatives. Business plans and good advice are key to starting up a business, she said, and their Business Creation Service has been providing just that for almost 30 years, with the help of the Canary Islands Employment Service.

Lines of financing, subsidies, how to create a company, social networks for entrepreneurship, or artificial intelligence applied to new projects were the topics discussed during this week’s session.
The bodies supporting the initiative are the Canary Islands Employment Service of the Cabildo de Tenerife, AJE Canarias, Aval Canarias, CaixaBank, CajaSiete, Parque Científico y Tecnológico de Tenerife, and Inserta.
