Tenerife Cabildo and Adeje Town Hall yesterday announced details of the VI Tenerife Fashion Beach Costa Adeje, taking place on 1st, 3rd and 4th of November in the Adeje, and will also be streamed live.
The Cabildo councillor for trade and industry Manuel Fernandez, the CEO of Tenerife Tourism, Dimple Melwani, Adeje Councillor for Tourism Patricia Paulsen, and journalist, Jesus Maria Montes-Fernandez, presented details of the event to press yesterday. They confirmed the participation of more than 20 companies will participate: 11 swimwear firms supported by a dozen brands specialising in accessories.
Manuel Fernández, said that "the Cabildo supports this type of event, bearing in mind that it not only contributes to promotion of the tourist destination, but also underlines an important direction of Cabildo policy, the diversification of the island's economy, the strengthening of the production industry, and the generation of stable and quality employment". Fernández stressed that "events such as this one showcase Tenerife's talent, while at the same time making Tenerife a benchmark and an attractive place, not only for holidaymakers, but also for investors and business developers".
For her part, the CEO of Tenerife Tourism, Dimple Melwani, highlighted "the work done by the Adeje council in organising this event, which brings together professionals, 'influencers' and fashion journalists". Melwani pointed out that "if there is one thing that sets Tenerife apart from other tourist destinations, it is the unbeatable year-round climate, which allows this initiative to be held outdoors: Tenerife Fashion Beach Costa Adeje has become a benchmark event on the national scene, bringing together tourism and fashion, both sectors mutually benefitting from the event’s promotion, marketing and dissemination".
Adeje tourism councillor, Patricia Paulsen, stressed that "we will continue to work in a coordinated manner to create events of this calibre, an excellent promotional platform for Tenerife and Costa Adeje. The climate we have here already makes us a destination reference, and now we are adding fashion to the quality mix, and showcasing the work of professionals in the sector in our islands.”
Tenerife Fashion Beach Costa Adeje will bring designers and swimwear brands to the catwalk with the added bonus of the presence of the brand Lola Casademunt, who brings her collection to Tenerife for the first time, to coincide with the celebration of her 40th anniversary in the world of fashion.
Tenerife Fashion Beach Costa Adeje can be followed digitally through the official platforms and on deferred television and, this year once again features international top model and TVE presenter, Nieves Álvarez, in charge of hosting the runway, together with the well-known TVE presenter, Roberto Herrera.
