Tijoco Bajo fiestas in honour of La Virgen del Carmen and San Antonio Abad will run from June 29th to July 2nd
Tijoco Bajo celebrates their summer fiesta in honour of La Virgen del Carmen and San Antonio Abad with a busy programme of activities from June 28th to July 2nd. The events kick off with a gala night to elect the junior queen for the neighbourhood (June 29th, 8.30pm), with numbers from the children of the village, and Ballet Overdance. From the world of cinema, Anna, Elsa and Olaf will make guest appearances, and Irene Gil, winner of La Voz Kids, will also perform.
On Friday June 30th there will be a huge bouncy castle in the Calle la Cocineta from 6pm and from 9pm a gala evening, with a stage show, "¿De quién sos tú mi niñ@?” Also performing will be the Azúcar show, Ballet Studio54 dance studio, and Pancha and Servando, comics from the TV Canarias programme "En otra clave". Singing will be Sislena Caparrosa, winner of the "Tú sí que vales" and "Top Star España” programmes, and all this followed by DJ STC and a street party with the Atlantic de la Gomera band.
On Saturday July 1st there will be more bouncy castles, a henna tattoo workshop, a children’s show from Güicho, and that evening there is mass at 9pm and a procession, with the Adeje patron bank and Goyo Tavío. The night ends with a big street party with music from Maquinaria and Sabrosa bands.
The festivities come to an end on Sunday July 2nd, with a procession after noon, and from 4.30pm music with a live broadcast on Radio Rumberos FM, and that evening a street party with singers Manuel Dorta and Falo Rodríguez and the La Calle Group.
