On Thursday work to clean up the embankment along the TF-82 will begin. The Cabildo have said that work, cleaning, removing large amounts of vegetation and discarded materials, will mean road closures for a short period of time. They will also be clearing a zone where there is a danger of materials falling, and working to reinforce vertical road structures with specialised teams. They calculate this work will take 4 days.
When the initial clean-up is finished they will proceed to resurface parts of the road which will take another number of days
To carry out the work safely the TF-82 will be closed between PP.KK 46+200 to 46+600, with the work being carried out between 8am – 4pm, and traffic diversions in place.
When that initial phase is complete the team will also install steel frameworks where the land slopes for safety reasons, and this will also require road closures. Work is scheduled to finish on June 2nd.
