RNE broadcasts from Radio Sur Adeje on World Radio Day

The Adeje radio station is also celebrating 25 years on air

 This morning Spanish national radio, RNE, broadcast their daily programme Canarias Mediodía with Sergio de la Rosa, from the studios of Radio Sur Adeje, in the Adeje Cultural Centre, to both acknowledge the 25 years the station has been in existence and mark World Radio Day today, February 13th.

The programme featured many local guests, including the Adeje councillor for culture and education, and citizen participation, María Clavijo Maza.

During the coming months Radio Sur Adeje will be on the road, with a series of outside broadcasts all over the borough, bringing the radio to the residents. The programmes will also be promoting small and medium local businesses in every part of Adeje, with ‘Viva la Vida’ and ‘A ver qué Onda’.

Viva la Vida will be out and about on Wednesdays during February and March. On February 15th in the Plaza de Fañabe, on February 22nd in Plaza de Los Menores, on March 1st in la Plaza de Tijoco-La Hoya, March 15th in the Plaza de Armeñime, March 22nd in in La Plaza de La Concepción, March 29th en La Plaza España and finally in Plaza de La Caleta on April 5th.

A ver qué Onda will visit different restaurants and businesses on Fridays during February and March. On March 8th, International Women’s Day, Siam Mall will be the location for a morning-long series of programmes, with professional female presenters from the Adeje radio division fronting the programs and the music on air that day will be songs composed or sung by women, highlighting the cultural and professional role of women in the media and music industries.
