Part II of Adeje’s Equality Plan is now underway with local round table participation

Adeje council has organised a series of round table participation events under the II Equality Plan.   The borough’s Equality Council has taken part in the first of these events and reported a very positive level of feed-back.  

 

There will be a series of meetings in different parts of the borough – Tuesday Jan 17th in the Adeje cultural centre, Wednesday Jan 18th in the Callao Salvaje cultural centre, Tuesday Jan 24th in the Tijoco Bajo cultural centre and Thursday Jan 26th in Fañabe.  To take part and book your place send an email to igualdad@adeje.es or call 922756244. The events will be in Spanish. 

 

The councillor for equality Desiderio Afonso Ruiz, is encouraging people to take part as well as filling out the questionnaire, which is available in English as well as in Spanish here: https://www.adeje.es/igualdad/agenda/19382-questionnaire-ii-equality-of-opportunities-between-women-and-men-in-adeje-plan-participate  To date there have been over 350 replies, in both languages, and there are also people replying in-person to pollsters who are travelling to different parts of the borough. 

 

The II Equality Plan will become the basis for the council’s future activities in the area of equality, gender politics, etc, on a cross-departmental basis.
