Christmas is here!

Their majesties The Three Kings of the Orient will fly into Adeje on the afternoon of January 5th ahead of a parade up the Calle Grande

9 december 2022
Adeje’s Department of Culture, under councillor María Clavijo Maza, have organised a range of seasonal activities with which they want everyone to recover the spirit of Christmas after two years of the pandemic, with something on in every part of the borough for families and friends.

The parade for The Three Kings will be held on January 5th, after they have landed by helicopter into the Adeje football stadium at 5pm, where there will also be a great show for all.  From 7pm the parade will begin on the Calle Grande.

“We have worked to bring back the fun and colour to these important festivities. All the activities planned are designed to bring people together and help them enjoy themselves during this special time” said the councillor.

Events began at the end of November with the opening of the Asociación San Juan market and the blessing of the nativity scene created by the Adeje seniors club, which is mounted on the Plaza de España and will stay there until Jan 9th.  There have been seasonal activities at the Farmers Market, and the Costa Adeje Christmas Fair was a great success.

All of the different parts of the borough have events taking place, for children and adults, decorating local plazas, carol singing, and concerts. There are drop off points for letters to Santa Claus and The Three Kings, concerts, and you can see the year out in style in the Plaza de España, on  December 31st, from 11.30pm.   The full programme of events, in English, is here: https://townhall.adeje.es/?noticia/4596/christmas-programme-2022
