Mobile week in Adeje

The event is coming to the Canary Islands to coincide with the OECD Digital Economy Ministerial Meeting 2022

9 december 2022
Mobile Week is the space where technology and society connect, a space where people, entities and administrations gather to think and debate  about the impact of technology in our society.

Mobile Week initiative brings the technological innovation closer to citizens through public and free activities for all ages, with the purpose of generating debate, analysing and experimenting with the impact of technology in our daily lives.

The event is coming to the Canary Islands to coincide with the OECD Digital Economy Ministerial Meeting 2022 taking place in the Canary Islands from December 13th to 16th.  Mobile Week events will be taking place in Las Palmas, San Bartolomé de Tirajana (December 13/14) and Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Adeje (Dec 15/16).

During each day there will be activities – workshops, round tables – for both professionals in the sector (morning sessions) and the general public (afternoons).

During the four days institutions, corporations and the public will be invited to debate themes on digitization, digital rights, and the opportunities for the Canary Islands as a destination for digital nomads.  The events in Adeje will take place in the CDTCA.

Mobile Week has three big partners, Learn to Check, with workshops on verification and how to spot false news, Huawei, who are bringing their Smart Bus, and Unicef who will look at key elements in how technology can have a positive impact on children.

Mobile Week is an initiative of Mobile World Capital Barcelona, with support from the national secretariat of state for digitization and artificial intelligence, part of the department of economic affairs and digital transformation of the Canarian Government, and by Damm and CaixaBank.
