The 5th edition of Tenerife Fashion Beach Costa Adeje, a joint initiative of the Tenerife Cabildo and the Adeje council, takes place on October 14th, 15th and 16th. The event is part of Tenerife Volcanic Fashion and details were released to press today, Friday October 7th in the Hotel Bahía del Duque.
Present at the event were Adeje tourism councillor Adolfo Alonso Ferrera, Tenerife Cabildo councillor for socio-economic development Ermitas Moreira, Tenerife Tourism councillor David Pérez and journalist and TV España director of Flash Moda, Jesús María Montes. Adolfo Alonso underlined the importance of the event for the fashion brands under the Tenerife Moda umbrella, as well as the other brands taking part, consolidating the reputation of the regional textile industry as well as promoting the destination
.
Ermitas Moreira said that the event was also an excellent way of promoting the destination as a backdrop for many different media. David Pérez commented that events of this kind helped identify new target markets for tourism, for people not only interested in the excellent climate but also in the fashion sector. Jesús María Montes applauded the initiative as one that was now helping the textile industry post-pandemic.
There is a wide ranging programme of events during the three day event, with fashion talks with professionals and influencers taking part over the three days, in the Hotel GF Victoria de Costa Adeje. Among the influencers and fashion journalists will be Clara Courel, Cris Mata, Teresa Bass and Cristina Cerquieras, Alex and Mikel Boisset and top model Oriol Elcacho.
The event will also be promoting new and young designers and the Centro Comercial The Duque Shop will host New Talents, with four companies showing new collections.
Saturday October 15th will see the Playa del Duque North beach become, yet again, the epicentre of beach fashion in Europe, with one of the few outdoor catwalks that enjoys such a stunning backdrop as the sunset here. Invited firms will be showing their collections, in the main swim wear and beach fashion and under a ‘Plastic Free’ label. Among the new regional designers will be Gran Canaria Moda Cálida, Isla Bonita and Lanzarote Moda.
Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada
Guest designer is the international phenomenon Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada who will present a collection for the first time at Tenerife Fashion Beach Costa Adeje. The Madrid designer is one of the most important in the Spanish fashion family and has created a designer universe that extends well beyond fashion, a universal style reference.
