Adeje celebrated International Youth Day to the full!

More than 250 people enjoyed Komorebi-con 2022, an event for fans of anime, manga, k-pop, gaming and much more

The Adeje youth department presided over by councillor Carmen Lucía Rodríguez del Toro and in the company of councillor Mercedes Vargas Delgado, celebrated International Youth Day on August 12th with a series of events for fans of anime, manga, k-pop, gaming and fantasy fun.
 
There were individuals in costume taking on competitors at all levels, a FIFA 22 (PS5) tournament a Mario Kart (Nintendo Switch) competition, all leading to eventual winners on the day.  Role play workshops where led by professionals, there were pin workshop, cosplay (costume play) events, a ‘Pikachus meeting’ – a range of events with top players and gamers from all over the islands in Adeje for the day, including make-up workshops on how to recreate your favourite character look. 
 
In the afternoon there was a K-pop master class with Alexis (Nolhant).
 
At the close of the day’s events the two councillors were on hand to present awards to the winners of the various events and competitions throughout the day.
