Film know-how on offer as part of Adeje Summer University

There will be a workshop on July 20th taking students through the process of bringing an idea to screen

6 july 2022
Taking an original idea and bringing it to the screen, be it television or cinema, is the theme of one of the Adeje Summer University workshops this year, under the intriguing title, “Cine y muerte digno: cómo plasmar una historia en imagines” (cinema and dignified death: how to tell a story in images).  The workshop on July 20th is organised by the University of La Laguna department of culture, social participation, and the Adeje council, as part of the Summer University running in Adeje from July 14th to 22nd.

The workshop, in Spanish, will run from 9am to 1pm in the Adeje Cultural Centre and look at the theory and practise and the key and essential steps you need to take to create, evolve and edit an audio-visual project.  Under the direction of Fernando Iturrate Cárdenes and David Fuentefría Rodríguez, both professors at the University of La Laguna, participants will learn the technical and creative tools they need to bring their words to screen.

During the morning students will also be looking at examples of how some famous films were scripted and directed as a basis for debate and discussion,  and will learn the difference between, for instance, a synopsis, a literary script and a technical script. At the end of the session students will also have a chance to use what they have learnt in a practical way.

The cost of the workshop is €10, more information and registration: https://www.ull.es/portal/agenda/evento/cine-y-muerte-digna-como-plasmar-una-historia-en-imagenes/
