This has become an annual gesture from the Callao Salvaje based centre

This week the Hotel Atlantic Holiday Center in Callao Salvaje donated all-inclusive holiday stays in their resort to 12 individuals who are currently part of a health and welfare cancer programme run by the Spanish Cancer Association and the Adeje Council.

At the presentation, alongside those who will benefit from the stay, were the Adeje health councillor Amada Trujillo Bencomo, hotel director Charlotte Abildtrup, and the regional representative of the Spanish Cancer Association, Ana Belén Prado Prieto.

This is the fourth consecutive year that the hotel has offered their facilities for a week to persons suffering from cancer and members of their families.   The councillor commented, “This initiative has been really welcomed by those affected by their situation and treatments, suffering high levels of stress during this difficult time”.  She underlines the importance for patients to be able to “enjoy leisure time too, in a place where the kind of attention they receive will be excellent, something that can help in their recovery, and give them time to relax having been through some very complicated times”.

Charlotte Abildtrup, the hotel director, said, “We are glad to be able to help these people and their families, we hope that they can relax, get rid of some of the stress they are facing daily. We are really looking forward to welcoming these families during the summer months and hope they enjoy all the hotel has to offer”.

Trujillo Bencomo commented, “The kind of attitude we see in Charlotte and her hotel staff do show us that solidarity has no limits”.

The hotel has large rooms, fresh water and salt water pools, children’s zones, a tennis court, a park, gym, and restaurants.
