You can apply for grants for school materials for the 2022/23 academic year now

Applications will be accepted until June 27th

The Adeje department of Education, under María Clavijo Maza, has said that the period for receipt of applications for grants for school materials for the 2022/23 academic year is open now. People have until June 27th to apply either in person in the department of education (basement, Adeje cultural centre) or online through the Adeje webpage. 
 
The grants are for students on the Adeje ‘padrón’ (resident register with the Town Hall) who are attending public schools, at infant, primary, secondary, vocational and Bachillerato levels.  To apply they or their parents must fill in the relevant form and bring all the ancillary documentation either to the offices or attach to their online application  - full information is available online, in Spanish (https://www.adeje.es/educacion/becas-y-ayudas/7046-convocatoria-de-las-ayudas-economicas-para-la-adquisicion-de-material-escolar-para-el-curso-2022-2023) .
 
The councillor commented, “The council is working to give families the help they need to purchase school materials for the next academic year, working to give students the best possible conditions to continue their studies”.  She also noted that the department were planning to “make the grant available before the school year began, which is when it is most needed”. 
 
The documentation that you will need to bring will include the registration with the school for the term ahead, official identification papers for the students and parents/tutors, and proof of monthly incomes which could be the most recent pay slips or form 130/131 in the case of the self- employed.  
 
The offices of the education department are open to the public on weekdays from 9am to 2pm.  To present your application in person you will need to make an appointment online via http://citaprevia.adeje.es/.
