Students based in South Tenerife who have applied to sit the EBAU (the pre-university exams) will be able to take the exams here in Adeje. The exams are taking place between June 8th and 11th in the Las Torres Pavilion and the Centre for Citizen Participation in Las Nieves (see main photo). The Adeje councillor for education, María Clavijo Maza, commented “following the Covid pandemic we offered our facilities to the EBAU organisers to allow students to sit the exam in Adeje, meaning that students based in the south would have fewer problems in getting to their exam centres”. The councillor added that “Adeje is already an approved university campus for the tourism degree, and this is just another step on the way to being recognised as a third level education reference point in the south of the island”.
