The aim is to improve the employment prospects for women in Adeje
28 april 2022
Registration is now open for women interested in courses under the ‘Tajea’ project. The aim of the project is to improve employment prospects for women resident in Adeje.
Adeje’s departments of job creation and equality, under Raquel Rodríguez Alonso and Juan Desiderio Afonso Ruiz respectively, said that the courses are about improving access to the labour force and keeping women in the work force, and more information is available online, www.adeje.es.
The project will run for a year and will be designed to work with different groups of women in Adeje – rural workers, immigrants, single mothers, domestic violence survivors, women with physical or mobility needs, and others.
There are courses on the proper handling of food, driving and manipulating a forklift truck, handling toxic and dangerous chemicals, etc. Courses are free, interested parties should register here:

This project is co-funded by the Tenerife Cabildo, and will also include personalised tutorials for participants, training workshops on seeking work, and equal opportunity awareness programmes.
