The participation of the Adeje unit served to demonstrate the different resources the security forces have at their disposal

Last weekend the Adeje Policia Local dog unit took part in the Teide 360º Vilaflor event, organised by the Vilaflor Council, a sports event for cyclists. For the first time, this year the organisers help a parallel event for students of local schools,
CEIP La Escalona and CEO Hermano Pedro de Vilaflor, demonstrating the resources available to local and national security forces.
Adeje councillor for security Mercedes Vargas Delgado commented, “The collaboration between different administrations is fundamental in particular in security as it allows us meet the needs of the people in a better way. The Adeje local police dog unit is a great resource in particular in prevention work and has been busy in the educational field”.
The event last weekend was in Plaza de San Pedro, from 9am to 1pm, and also saw the assistance of the Tenerife fire brigade, the forestry fire prevention unit, the emergency military unit, the Guardia Civil, national police, the Cruz Roja, and the members of the regional police force.
Events focussed on security, promoting healthy life-style habits, sport, and accident prevention among other things.
