The Adeje department of youth, under councillor Carmen Lucía Rodríguez del Toro, is introducing a series of courses under the ‘Nómada’ programme aimed at young people who might need extra assistance in entering the labour market or are at risk of social exclusion

“The programme is designed to meet specific needs of those young people at risk and we are promoting training initiatives which are designed to spur on interests in young people who, it is hoped, after the courses will be more able to seek work and find a path that suits them”, explained the councillor.

The courses will be 20 hours duration, and are designed too to allow the young person achieve more autonomy and move ahead. The training is held in conjunction with the Escuela Tenerife Joven, and the Canarian institute for professional qualifications. They will be both online and in person – the latter to be held in the youth centre.

All the programmes can be accessed on the main council webpage, www.adeje.es.  There are courses on health auxiliary training, manicures and pedicures, personal shoppers, designing video games, tattoo artistry,  sports monitor, manga and comic design, and drone use among others. All courses are free, and  will be held in Spanish (except the B1 English course).
