Looking ahead to 2030

Entemanser has launched a new digital children’s competition about clean and healthy water

4 february 2022
Entemanser, the company in charge of water supply in Adeje, have launched this year’s edition of their digital children’s competition on clean and healthy water, “Agua limpia y saneamiento”. The goal is to underline the importance of sustainable development objectives as we move towards a cleaner planet.  The project teaches children the importance of caring for water and water sources and water treatments.

The challenge for entrants is to design a poster displaying the integral cycles of water, in a digital way, using different elements available on the webpage, www.entemanseryods6.com in the ‘Participa’ zone, or creating something on paper and uploading it onto the platform.

Esther Rivero Vargas, Adeje councillor for works and services commented, “Adeje council is delighted to be supporting initiatives that are beneficial for the borough and the environment and this initiative will be rolled out in our schools as we have noticed that the younger population are extremely aware of the need to care for our water. We see this as a very positive move.”

The competition is part of a larger series of projects developed by Aqualia-Entemanser “with schools and senior colleges and third level institutions to increase awareness among the public as to the cycle of generating clean water and to educate in the responsible  use and consumption of this vital resource”, said the Entemanser director  Pedro Antonio Gómez.

The competition rules and regulation are available online, (https://www.entemanseryods6.com), where there is also a video about the competition, (with a 10” tablet as first prize for best drawing, and 10 smart watches for the most original online creations). The competition is open until March 22, World Water Day, and students can take part individually or in groups.   Winners will be notified online or on the following platforms, www.entemanseryods6.com, www.entemanser.es, www.adeje.es or in the offices of Entemanser in Adeje.
