Adeje launches an experimental employment Project in health and beauty

This job creation initiative is for under 30s and over 45s who are long-term unemployed

Adeje council have launched a new training course which, on completion, will give participants a professional certificate in the health and beauty sector.  The new scheme, “Adeje, salud y belleza” is designed for two long-term unemployed groups, under-30s and the over-45s. 
 
To earn the certificate students will complete 360 of training, with places available for up to 60 persons. Those eligible to take part will be on the Adeje job-seekers register, have a DARDE number (on the official unemployment form), and can contact adejesaludybelleza@adeje.es or the CDTCA for more information.   
 
As well as specific training in cosmetics, client care, foot reflexology, adapted sensory techniques, massage, the students will also receive some basic training in languages, information technology, management, etc. They will also be receiving information about health subjects related to solar panel use in efficient energy creation, working from home, cleanliness and covid, and other related skills to assist in joining or re-joining the work force. 
 
Students will attend a series of workshops on business assessment, labour orientation, social skills within the workplace, equality of opportunities, as well as the specialised courses relating to different areas. The certificates, when granted, will assure that the graduate has achieved a professional competence in their area.  These are official and validated certificates recognised throughout Spain
