Adeje Cemetery on All Saints and All Souls days

Adeje’s Cemetery is open for all those who wish to visit the graves of their loved ones this weekend, as All Saints Day (November 1st) and All Souls Day (November 2nd) are celebrated.  People will be asked to adhere to all the in-place health requirements (masks, observing social distance, use of hand-gel) during their visits, with a 75% capacity limit in place. 

 

The councillor with responsibility for the area, Esther Rivero Vargas, commented that “after two years of a pandemic we are working to return to a normality during these important days for families and their loved ones who are now at rest”: 

 

Work in the run up to the weekend saw improvement to the cemetery, with new flowers planted, the painting of some interiors and exteriors, walls have been repaired and the green zones have been treated.  

 

Mass at 6pm on November 1st in the cemetery will be accompanied by the Santa Cecilia de Tacoronte choir and will be followed by the blessing of the niches.  The florists from Adeje have also worked to decorate  the chapel and different parts of the interior patios. 

 

The cemetery is open to the public Mondays to Fridays, 9am to 5pm and on this Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 6pm.
