13 august 2021
Adeje has congratulated the medallists who used facilities in the borough for their pre-Olympic training, in particular Tenerife Top Training and the Las Torres sports pavilion.  The sports most represented were open-sea swimming and karate.

“For our borough this is a real honour, that Olympians chose to come here to train and prepare both in our municipal facilities and in T3”, commented the councillor for sports, Adolfo Alonso Ferrera.  He added that many elite sports athletes and teams from a range of disciplines visit Adeje for their pre-games preparations, be it Olympics, European or World Championships, or other top-range competitions.

For over 10 years Adeje has been a favourite destination for elite athletes, and many national and international teams are frequent users of the sporting centres here, given the excellence of many of the boroughs public and private installations.
