Social networks will be the main forum uniting Europe in a digital walk, allowing the public to donate and participate in this event that raises awareness of and funds for those suffering from breast cancer

The Carrera por la Vida - Walk for Life Foundation, the solidarity initiative which has worked over the years to raise awareness about the importance of early detection of breast cancer as well as funds for patients and families suffering as a result of the disease, will, for the second year running, organise their annual ‘walk’ online, given current health restrictions.
According to organiser Brigitte Gypen, the founder of the movement here in Tenerife, and who organised the first ‘walk’ 16 years ago, the movement continues to need funds for research, for those associations working with breast cancer patients and survivors, for assistance initiatives designed to improve the lives of those most affected, and to help in their psychological as well as physical recovery.
As was the case last year, participants will be taking part online, and registration is now open (a €5 donation is requested), and people are encouraged to join teams locally – to join the Adeje team use this link: https://www.raceforthecure.eu/es/Teams/Team/Id/345 using the team code 62F5EB26. Events will take place from September 26th to October 10th, and all funds raised will go to cancer research and to help individuals and their families directly affected.
