Adeje council’s department of economic development, under Councillor Raquel Rodríguez Alonso, have announced the date for applications for those who wish to apply for the assistant payment for those in the local restaurant sector. Applications must be made online here:

Each applicant could receive up to €2,000. The aim, according to the councillor, is “to help and reactivate this sector of the local economy in the borough and at the same time keep our economic activity going, as well as employment and a competitive dimension too. This is a local measure, which is separate to any assistance received at insular, regional or state level, as we know that the restaurant sector have been particularly badly hit during the pandemic”.
Those interested in receiving the grant subsidy must meet a certain number of requirements and the online application must be made in Spanish: The main requirements include:
• Registered as resident in the borough or the business is based and registered in Adeje
• The business activity falls into one of the named sections
• The business has been directly affected by the pandemic – it has either had to close or had reduced income.
• The business has all the relevant up-to-date Social Security documentation
Those applying will need certain documentation:
• Completed application form
• Declaration that you are the person responsible for the business,
• Bank account details (‘alta de terceros’)
• DNI/NIE
• Census certificate
• RETA certificate
